Before we can undertake our first skip trace assignment with your firm, we need some basic information to confirm your credentials as an attorney/law firm.
As stated in our FAQ section, we have greater access to data when working for attorneys. We need to comply with Federal law when accessing the many databases to which we subscribe. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain proof that we are, in fact, undertaking the assignment for an attorney/law firm.
We can only work for active status members of the Bar.
- It is only necessary for us to obtain a Bar number for one attorney within your firm.
- If an assistant or paralegal orders a skip trace, that is acceptable as long as the requesting attorney’s name appears on the online form.
- Upon submission of your new account information, we will quickly verify your Bar Association credentials. There is a section when creating a new account where you are asked to certify that you are an active member of either your state bar association or the Federal Bar Association.
We reserve the right to withhold the skip trace report in the event that we are unable to confirm your Bar Association membership. In such a case, we would immediately contact you in order to resolve that issue. However, if you certified that you were, in fact, a member of a bar association and it is determined that you are not, then there would be no refund of any amount paid by you.
Once your profile is initially set up and your user name and password are created, you will be able to order skip traces quickly by simply entering your user ID and password and filling out the online skip trace order form. Please keep this information in a convenient place for ready access.
You will be asked to pre-pay for the assignment with a major credit card.
Should you wish to print out the skip trace form and mail in a check for payment, you can make the check payable to “eSkiptrace” and mail to eSkiptrace, 1900 Coral Way, Suite 303, Miami, Florida 33145.
We will not retain any of your firm’s financial data when paying by credit card, nor do we share this confidential information with any third party. The financial data entered is protected by Authorize.net, a leader in online security. See our Privacy and Security Policy for details.
You will need to fill out the required fields upon ordering each skip trace. However, we have made this a convenient and fairly easy process because we value your time.
